Learn to build, run and manage containers with Docker, write efficient Dockerfiles, handle networking and storage, and define multi-container applications with Docker Compose.
The Docker & Containerization Essentials course in Doha, Qatar teaches how containers package an application with its dependencies so it runs the same way on a laptop, a test server or the cloud. Participants learn how containers differ from virtual machines, how Docker images are built from layers, and how registries store and share them. The course moves from first commands such as docker run and docker ps to writing production-minded Dockerfiles, managing volumes and networks, and describing complete application stacks with Docker Compose.
Every topic is reinforced with hands-on labs. Learners containerize a sample web application and database, shrink image size with multi-stage builds, troubleshoot failing containers using logs and exec, and push images to a registry. Security practices such as running as a non-root user, scanning images for vulnerabilities and keeping secrets out of images are built into the exercises. The course also prepares learners for orchestration with Kubernetes. It can be run as an in-house program using an organization's own applications and environments.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain containers, images and layers and how they compare with virtual machines
Run, inspect, stop and remove containers using the Docker CLI
Write Dockerfiles with good practices, including multi-stage builds and small base images
Configure Docker networks, port publishing, volumes and bind mounts
Define and run multi-container applications with Docker Compose
Apply container security basics such as non-root users and image scanning
This course suits technical staff who want practical skills in packaging and running applications with containers.

Organizations across Qatar, from banks and healthcare providers to government entities and energy companies, are modernizing applications and adopting cloud and hybrid infrastructure as new data centers come online in the region. Containers help these teams deploy software consistently across environments and make better use of servers. Building local container skills supports Qatar National Vision 2030 goals for a capable technical workforce and reduces reliance on outside specialists for everyday application delivery.

It is a hands-on Docker course in Doha that teaches how to build container images, run and troubleshoot containers, manage networks and volumes, and define multi-container applications with Docker Compose, with security good practice throughout.
Developers, system administrators, junior DevOps and cloud engineers, and QA staff who want to package applications in containers and run them reliably across development, test and production environments.
Comfort with basic command-line tasks such as navigating directories and editing files is recommended, because most Docker work happens in a terminal. Deep Linux administration knowledge is not required, and commands are explained as they are introduced.
