Forklift Safety Awareness
Recognize forklift hazards, understand stability and load capacity, and apply safe practices as an operator, pedestrian or supervisor in warehouses, yards and sites where lift trucks work.
Assess office and industrial workstations, promote neutral posture, set up display screen equipment correctly, and reduce repetitive strain and musculoskeletal risks in everyday work.
The Workplace Ergonomics course in Doha, Qatar shows how to fit work to people rather than forcing people to fit their work. It covers both office ergonomics, including computer workstation and display screen equipment setup, and industrial ergonomics, including tool design, work heights, repetitive tasks and standing work. Learners understand how awkward postures, force, repetition and duration lead to musculoskeletal disorders and how neutral posture and good design prevent them.
Sessions are practical. Learners adjust chairs, screens and keyboards, assess sample workstations with simple checklists and observation-based tools, and redesign problem tasks using the hierarchy of controls. Case studies compare low-cost improvements such as monitor arms, anti-fatigue mats and job rotation. Leaders Training Center can deliver the course as an in-house program for organizations, applying the assessment methods to their own offices, control rooms, workshops and production lines.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain ergonomic risk factors: posture, force, repetition, duration and environment.
Set up a computer workstation for neutral posture and comfortable viewing.
Assess office and industrial workstations using simple ergonomic checklists.
Recognize early symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders and repetitive strain.
Recommend practical engineering and administrative controls for ergonomic risks.
Plan micro-breaks, job rotation and stretching routines for teams.

Qatar's workforce spans office-based government, banking and corporate roles as well as construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, healthcare and hospitality. Long hours at screens, repetitive production tasks and physically demanding site work all carry ergonomic risks. As organizations invest in employee wellbeing and productivity, ergonomics offers practical, often low-cost improvements. This aligns with the focus on a healthy, capable population within the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.
