Learn to design, manage and secure Active Directory Domain Services: domains, OUs, users and groups, Group Policy, replication, FSMO roles, recovery and hybrid identity with Microsoft Entra ID.
The Active Directory Administration course in Doha, Qatar focuses on Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), the directory that controls sign-in, permissions and policy across most Windows networks. Participants learn how forests, domains and organizational units fit together, how domain controllers, DNS and Kerberos work, and how to manage users, computers and groups at scale. Group Policy, sites and replication, FSMO roles and directory recovery are covered in detail, along with synchronizing identities to Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure Active Directory.
Because Active Directory is a frequent target in cyberattacks, security runs through the whole course: tiered administration, protected groups, Windows LAPS and auditing privileged changes. Learners promote domain controllers, design an OU structure, build and troubleshoot GPOs, recover deleted objects and automate tasks with the ActiveDirectory PowerShell module in a dedicated lab. The course can be delivered as an in-house program for organizations that want to review their own directory design alongside the training.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain forests, domains, trusts, organizational units and the role of DNS in AD DS
Deploy and promote domain controllers and manage FSMO roles
Manage users, groups and computers with ADAC, ADUC and PowerShell
Design, link and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects
Configure sites, subnets and replication and resolve replication errors
Secure Active Directory with tiered administration, Windows LAPS and auditing

Identity is at the heart of secure digital services, and government entities, banks, healthcare providers and energy companies in Qatar rely on Active Directory to control who can access their systems. National cybersecurity guidance from Qatar's National Cyber Security Agency stresses strong access control, which makes well-managed directories essential. As organizations adopt cloud and hybrid services in support of Qatar National Vision 2030, administrators who understand both AD DS and Microsoft Entra ID are increasingly valuable.
