Build and operate core AWS infrastructure: launch and manage EC2 instances, configure EBS and S3 storage, design VPC networks, and deliver scalable applications with ELB and Auto Scaling.
The AWS Compute, Storage & Networking course in Doha, Qatar is a practical program on the building blocks of Amazon Web Services infrastructure. Learners launch and manage Amazon EC2 instances, choose instance types and purchasing options, and work with Amazon EBS volumes and snapshots. They configure Amazon S3 buckets with storage classes, versioning, lifecycle rules and bucket policies, and design Amazon VPC networks with public and private subnets, route tables, NAT gateways and security groups, before combining these services into scalable, load-balanced applications.
The course is built around hands-on labs in the AWS Management Console and the AWS CLI. Participants deploy a web tier behind an Application Load Balancer, attach an Auto Scaling group with target tracking policies, store content in S3 and monitor the environment with Amazon CloudWatch. IAM roles for EC2 and least-privilege access are applied throughout. Organizations running workloads on AWS can request an in-house program with labs mapped to their own architecture and account structure.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Launch, connect to and manage Amazon EC2 instances using AMIs, key pairs and user data
Select EC2 instance types and purchasing options for performance and cost
Configure Amazon EBS volumes, snapshots and Amazon S3 buckets with appropriate security
Design Amazon VPC networks with subnets, route tables, gateways, security groups and network ACLs
Deploy Elastic Load Balancing and EC2 Auto Scaling for highly available applications
Monitor and secure infrastructure using Amazon CloudWatch and IAM roles
