Develop responder-level resuscitation skills: high-quality CPR, bag-valve-mask ventilation, AED use and team-based response to cardiac and respiratory arrest in adults, children and infants.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training in Doha, Qatar is aimed at healthcare workers, clinic staff and professional responders who need a structured, team-based approach to resuscitation. It goes beyond lay CPR by covering pulse and breathing checks, two-rescuer CPR, bag-valve-mask ventilation, management of respiratory arrest, opioid and drowning considerations, and relief of choking. Emphasis is placed on high-quality compressions with minimal interruptions, because this has a direct effect on survival.
Training is delivered through hands-on skills stations and realistic simulated code scenarios, where learners rotate through roles such as compressor, airway manager and AED operator. The trainer coaches closed-loop communication and timely rotation of compressors. Hospitals, clinics, medical centers and industrial emergency teams can arrange the course in-house, so the scenarios reflect their own equipment, crash trolleys, staffing and escalation procedures.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Assess responsiveness, breathing and pulse simultaneously within a short check.
Deliver high-quality single-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR for adults, children and infants.
Provide effective ventilation using a pocket mask and bag-valve-mask device.
Integrate early AED use into resuscitation with minimal pauses in compressions.
Manage respiratory arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction.
Communicate clearly in a resuscitation team using closed-loop techniques.
This training is designed for people whose roles involve responding to medical emergencies as part of their duties.

Qatar's growing network of hospitals, primary health centers, private clinics and on-site medical facilities at industrial areas such as Ras Laffan and Mesaieed relies on staff who can lead an effective response to cardiac arrest. Remote project sites and large events add demand for capable responders. Strengthening resuscitation skills across healthcare and emergency teams contributes to the high-quality health system that Qatar National Vision 2030 sets out to achieve.
