- Foundation
Build the skills to manage a workplace emergency: assess the scene, perform CPR, treat an unresponsive casualty, control serious bleeding and handle shock until help arrives.
Emergency First Aid at Work training in Doha, Qatar prepares employees to take charge of the first minutes of a workplace incident. Following the scope commonly used for emergency first aid at work programs, it covers managing the scene, assessing a casualty, adult CPR, the recovery position, choking, severe bleeding, shock, seizures and minor injuries. It is designed for people nominated to support their organization's first aid arrangements in lower-risk environments.
Learners spend much of the session practicing on manikins and with each other, working through realistic incidents such as a collapse in an office, a deep cut in a workshop or a seizure in a canteen. The trainer explains what to record, how to hand over to paramedics and how to restock kits. This program can be run in-house for organizations, aligned with their first aid needs assessment, site layout and emergency contact procedures.
