Understand how heat affects the body, apply practical controls for working in hot conditions, and give first aid for heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heatstroke before it becomes critical.
Heat Stress Awareness training in Doha, Qatar explains how high temperature, humidity, sunlight, workload and clothing combine to strain the body, and what workers and supervisors can do about it. Participants learn the warning signs of heat illness and the controls that prevent it, from scheduling and shade to hydration and acclimatization. The course also covers first aid for heat exhaustion and heatstroke, so people can recognize an emergency and cool a casualty quickly.
Delivery is practical and interactive, using real outdoor and indoor work scenarios, case discussions and simple tools such as urine color charts and heat index readings. Supervisors practice planning work-rest cycles and buddy checks, while workers rehearse what to do if a colleague becomes confused or collapses. The program can be delivered in-house for organizations, in multiple sessions before the summer season, and adapted to construction, logistics, facilities or hospitality operations.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Qatar's long, hot and humid summers make heat stress one of the most significant hazards for outdoor and non-air-conditioned work in construction, oil and gas, logistics, landscaping and event services. The Ministry of Labour sets expectations each summer for protecting workers from heat, including limits on outdoor work at the hottest times of day. Practical awareness of heat illness, cooling and first aid helps employers protect their teams and keep projects running safely through the season.
