Build, upgrade and repair desktop and laptop computers: identify components, diagnose hardware faults with proven tools and methods, and replace parts safely and correctly.
The Computer Hardware and Troubleshooting course in Doha, Qatar teaches participants how computers are put together and how to find and fix hardware faults methodically. It covers motherboards, processors, memory, storage, power supplies, graphics, cooling and peripherals, as well as laptop-specific components. Participants learn how to read the evidence a failing system gives, from beep codes and POST messages to SMART warnings and overheating, and how to confirm a diagnosis before replacing parts.
The course is heavily practical. Participants disassemble and reassemble desktop PCs, install memory and SSDs, update firmware, configure UEFI settings and work through fault scenarios set up by the trainer. Correct ESD precautions and safe handling are practiced from the first session. Much of the content aligns with the hardware domains of CompTIA A+. The course can run as an in-house program for organizations that want their technicians to handle more repairs internally rather than relying on outside service.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Identify desktop and laptop components and explain how they work together
Assemble, disassemble and upgrade PCs following safe ESD practices
Configure UEFI/BIOS settings including boot order, Secure Boot and TPM
