Recognize the types of emergency that can affect a workplace, raise the alarm correctly, take safe first actions, and know when to evacuate, shelter in place or wait for help.
The Emergency Response Awareness course in Doha, Qatar helps every employee respond safely and sensibly when something goes wrong at work. It goes beyond fire to cover the full range of workplace emergencies: gas leaks, chemical spills, medical emergencies, power failures, severe weather such as sandstorms, bomb threats and security incidents. Learners understand what an emergency plan is, who does what during an incident, how to raise the alarm and call emergency services on 999, and how to decide between evacuating, sheltering in place or staying put until told otherwise.
The course is interactive and scenario-driven, using short case studies and tabletop exercises in which learners talk through their first actions for different emergencies. It emphasizes personal safety, clear reporting and following instructions from wardens and responders, without expecting learners to take on specialist roles. It is an awareness course for all staff, not a training program for emergency response teams. Organizations can book it in-house and align the content with their own emergency plan, alarm signals and site risks.
