Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
Learn to prevent fires through hazard control and safe work practices, select the right fire fighting method for each class of fire, and tackle small fires safely before they spread.
Understand how fires start and spread, recognize common workplace fire hazards, know how fire alarm and detection systems work, and respond correctly when the alarm sounds.
The Fire Safety Awareness course in Doha, Qatar gives every employee a clear, practical understanding of how fire behaves and what to do about it at work. Learners study the fire triangle of heat, fuel and oxygen, the everyday causes of workplace fires such as overloaded sockets, poor housekeeping and careless hot work, and the simple habits that prevent them. The course also covers fire alarm and detection awareness: how smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call points work, what an alarm panel shows, and why false alarms must never be ignored.
Sessions are short, interactive and built around real situations, using photographs of hazards, walk-through scenarios and group discussion rather than long lectures. No previous safety training is needed, which makes this a sound induction for new starters and a useful refresher for established teams. It is an awareness course and does not include hands-on extinguisher operation, which is covered in the Fire Extinguisher Training course. Organizations can book it as an in-house program so that whole departments share the same fire safety basics.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

A hot climate, intensive air-conditioning loads and dense high-rise buildings make electrical safety and early detection especially important. The Civil Defence oversees fire safety across the country, and employers are expected to make sure staff understand basic fire precautions. Fire awareness training also supports the safe, healthy workforce envisaged in Qatar National Vision 2030.
