Project & Quality Management

Project Planning, Scheduling & Control Course in Doha, Qatar

Learn to build a realistic, logic-driven project schedule, resource and baseline it, check it for quality and compliance, and use it to track progress, forecast completion and control change.

Course overview

A project schedule is only useful if it is logical, realistic and kept up to date. This course teaches the practical discipline of planning, scheduling and control: breaking work down with a work breakdown structure, defining activities and logic, calculating the critical path and float, loading resources, setting a baseline and then updating, analyzing and reporting progress. A strong focus is placed on compliance, meaning schedules that meet contract and client requirements and pass recognized quality checks such as the DCMA 14-point assessment.

The course is exercise-driven. Participants build a small network schedule by hand, calculate float, review a sample schedule for logic and quality faults, perform an update with progress data and prepare a variance and forecast report. Concepts are software-neutral and apply whether teams use Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or other tools. The course runs as a classroom or live online program in Doha and can be delivered as an in-house program for organizations wishing to apply it to their own scheduling specifications and projects.

Why Project Planning, Scheduling & Control Matters in Qatar

Projects in Qatar's energy, infrastructure, utilities and public building sectors commonly require detailed, contract-compliant schedules that clients review closely before accepting progress claims. Sound planning and scheduling help owners and contractors avoid delays, justify resources and resolve time-related disagreements fairly. As organizations in Doha strengthen their project controls functions, demand continues for planners who understand both technique and compliance. This course builds that capability in support of efficient delivery of national development projects.
