Project Planning, Scheduling & Control
Learn to build a realistic, logic-driven project schedule, resource and baseline it, check it for quality and compliance, and use it to track progress, forecast completion and control change.
Learn to plan and deliver construction projects from inception to handover, coordinating design, procurement, site work, safety, quality, cost and time to deliver the scope the client needs.
Construction projects bring together clients, designers, contractors, subcontractors and authorities under pressure of time, cost and safety. This course covers the practical management of construction projects across their lifecycle: project initiation and feasibility, design management, procurement and contract strategy, planning and mobilisation, site management, health and safety, quality, cost and progress control, and testing, commissioning and handover. It emphasizes the coordination and communication skills that keep a project moving as well as the technical controls.
The course uses a construction project case study throughout, with exercises on developing a project execution plan, reviewing a site logistics layout, responding to a progress slippage and preparing a handover checklist. Participants share experience from buildings, infrastructure and industrial projects. It does not prepare for a specific external certification; instead it focuses on applied construction practice. It runs as a classroom or live online program in Doha and can be delivered as an in-house program for organizations using their own project procedures and examples.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Plan construction projects from feasibility through to handover and close-out
Manage design development, reviews and interfaces with consultants
Select procurement and contract strategies suited to construction projects
Organize site management, logistics, health and safety and quality control

Effective project managers help deliver these assets on time and to standard, supporting the infrastructure and human development goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. This course builds practical construction management capability for professionals in Doha.
