- Advanced
Work and lead more effectively in multicultural teams by understanding cultural differences, recognizing unconscious bias, communicating inclusively and building practices that help every employee contribute.
This Diversity & Inclusion in a Multicultural Workplace course helps participants understand how cultural background, language, generation and other differences influence how people communicate, make decisions and experience work. It introduces frameworks for comparing cultural values, explains how unconscious bias affects everyday judgements in hiring, work allocation and performance reviews, and shows how inclusive behaviors enable diverse teams to perform well. The emphasis is on practical, respectful collaboration rather than abstract theory.
Participants take part in self-reflection activities, cultural scenario analysis and group discussions about real workplace situations, such as misunderstandings in meetings or feedback that lands differently across cultures. Managers consider how to run inclusive meetings, make fair decisions and address exclusionary behavior. The course can be delivered as an in-house program, adapted to the organization's values, workforce profile and policies, and respectful of local culture and customs.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Explain the business and human value of diversity and inclusion
Compare cultural values and communication styles using recognized frameworks
Recognize unconscious bias and its effect on workplace decisions
