Learn to run Microsoft Hyper-V: install the role, create Generation 2 virtual machines, configure virtual switches and VHDX storage, use checkpoints, and build resilient clusters with Live Migration and Hyper-V Replica.
The Microsoft Hyper-V Administration course in Doha, Qatar teaches how to build and operate virtual infrastructure with Hyper-V, the hypervisor included in Windows Server. Participants install the Hyper-V role, create Generation 1 and Generation 2 virtual machines, manage VHDX disks, and configure external, internal and private virtual switches. Management through Hyper-V Manager, Windows Admin Center and the Hyper-V PowerShell module is covered, so learners can administer both single hosts and larger environments efficiently.
Later modules focus on availability and protection. In the lab, learners build a failover cluster with Cluster Shared Volumes, move running virtual machines with Live Migration, set up Hyper-V Replica between hosts and choose between standard and production checkpoints. Security features such as Secure Boot, virtual TPM and shielded virtual machines are explained, together with backup and monitoring practice. The course can be delivered in-house so the exercises reflect an organization's existing Windows Server and Hyper-V design.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Install and configure the Hyper-V role on Windows Server
Create and manage Generation 1 and Generation 2 virtual machines
Configure external, internal and private virtual switches and VLANs
Manage VHDX disks, checkpoints and virtual machine storage
Build failover clusters with Cluster Shared Volumes and Live Migration
Protect workloads with Hyper-V Replica, backup and shielded VMs
Automate Hyper-V administration with PowerShell and Windows Admin Center
This course is aimed at Windows professionals who deploy or manage virtual machines on Microsoft Hyper-V.

Many organizations in Qatar already license Windows Server, which makes Hyper-V a practical virtualization choice for government entities, schools, healthcare providers, banks and energy companies. Some teams are also reviewing their hypervisor strategy and considering Hyper-V for new or migrated workloads. Administrators who can build secure, highly available Hyper-V environments help these organizations deliver reliable digital services in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and national cybersecurity guidance.
Join a scheduled class at our training center in Doha or attend live online. For organizations, the course can run as an in-house program at your premises or online, tailored to your sector, examples and schedule.
It is a hands-on course in Doha on running Microsoft Hyper-V on Windows Server. It covers installation, virtual machines, storage, virtual switches, failover clustering, Live Migration, Hyper-V Replica, security features and PowerShell automation.
Windows Server administrators, virtualization administrators in Microsoft environments, infrastructure engineers designing Hyper-V clusters, support engineers looking after branch servers, and teams evaluating Hyper-V as an alternative platform.
You should be comfortable administering Windows Server and have a working knowledge of networking and storage basics. Some familiarity with PowerShell is helpful, though the commands used in the labs are explained as they are introduced.
