Learn vendor-neutral virtualization: compare hypervisors, plan compute, storage and network resources, design for high availability, manage capacity and migrate workloads across a virtual infrastructure.
The Virtualization & Infrastructure Management course in Doha, Qatar takes a vendor-neutral view of how modern server infrastructure is built and run. Rather than training on a single product, it explains the principles shared by hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM and Proxmox VE: how CPU and memory are scheduled, how shared storage and virtual networks are presented to virtual machines, and how clustering delivers high availability. Hyperconverged infrastructure, containers and hybrid cloud are placed in context.
Sessions combine short explanations with planning exercises and lab demonstrations. Participants size a cluster for a set of workloads, choose between SAN, NAS and hyperconverged storage, design virtual networks with VLANs, set overcommitment limits and build a capacity and lifecycle plan. Physical-to-virtual migration, patching strategy and licensing considerations are discussed through case studies. Organizations can run the course in-house to help teams evaluate or standardize their own virtualization platforms.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Compare Type 1 and Type 2 hypervisors and common virtualization platforms
Plan CPU, memory and storage allocation, including safe overcommitment
Design virtual networking with virtual switches, VLANs and redundant uplinks
Evaluate SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS and hyperconverged storage options
Design clusters for high availability, live migration and maintenance
Build capacity, patching and lifecycle plans for a virtual infrastructure
Plan physical-to-virtual and platform-to-platform workload migrations

Virtualization is the foundation of the data centers, private clouds and hosted services that support Qatar's digital government, banking, energy and healthcare sectors. As organizations in Qatar modernize infrastructure and weigh options across different hypervisor platforms and public cloud, they need staff who can make sound, product-independent decisions about capacity, resilience and cost. These skills support the efficient, technology-enabled public and private sectors described in Qatar National Vision 2030.
Join a scheduled class at our training center in Doha or attend live online. For organizations, the course can run as an in-house program at your premises or online, tailored to your sector, examples and schedule.
It is a vendor-neutral course in Doha on planning and running virtual infrastructure. It covers hypervisor types, resource management, storage and networking, high availability, capacity planning and migration, using VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM and Proxmox VE as examples.
Virtualization and system administrators, data center managers, IT architects, cloud and hybrid infrastructure engineers, and IT managers who make decisions about infrastructure platforms and budgets.
A vendor-neutral course teaches the concepts that apply to every platform, which helps when comparing products, running mixed environments or planning a migration. For deep product skills, the VMware Virtualization Fundamentals and Microsoft Hyper-V Administration courses are available separately.
