Strategic Business Development Skills
Learn to identify growth opportunities, build a qualified pipeline, develop partnerships and write compelling proposals and tenders that turn business development effort into new revenue.
Learn to analyze markets, choose target segments, define a clear positioning and build a marketing plan with budgets and measures that link marketing activity to business objectives.
Strategic Marketing Management focuses on the decisions that sit above day-to-day campaigns: where to compete, whom to serve and how to win. The course covers market and competitor analysis, customer insight, segmentation, targeting and positioning, value propositions, and growth strategies using tools such as PESTLE, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces and the Ansoff matrix. Participants then translate strategy into an integrated marketing mix, covering product, pricing, channels and communication, and learn how to set objectives, budgets and performance measures that connect marketing to financial results.
The course is case-based. Participants analyze regional and international marketing cases and progressively develop a strategic marketing plan for a product, service or business unit of their choice, presenting it for peer and trainer feedback. Digital channels are considered as part of the overall mix rather than in tactical detail. Strategic Marketing Management is delivered in Doha, live online, or as an in-house program for organizations aligning marketing teams around a common planning approach.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Analyze the external environment, market and competitors using strategic tools
Segment markets and select target segments based on attractiveness and fit
Define a differentiated positioning and compelling customer value proposition
Evaluate growth options using the Ansoff matrix and portfolio analysis
